Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust Earns “Outstanding” Community Reinvestment Act Rating

We are proud announce that we have received our second consecutive “Outstanding” rating in our most recent Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluation conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The Federal Reserve has issued three outstanding scores out of 38 exams in 2026 thus far.

Enacted in 1977, the CRA encourages federally insured financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities they serve, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, consistent with safe and sound banking practices.

The Federal Reserve examines state member banks for CRA compliance and assigns one of four ratings: Outstanding, Satisfactory, Needs to Improve, or Substantial Noncompliance based on the bank’s record of lending, investment, and service activities within its community.

“As a community bank, we’re committed to investing in the people, neighborhoods, and business that strengthen the Cedar Rapids area.” said CRBT President and CEO, James Klein. “Helping our community succeed isn’t just good business, it’s the right thing to do."
