Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust Announces Future Mt. Vernon Road Branch 

Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust (CRBT) announced today plans to open a new branch facility located at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Road and 42nd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA adjacent to Hy-Vee. The new branch is scheduled to open in spring 2027.

Upon completion of the new facility, CRBT will permanently close its Bever Avenue branch and transition all services to the Mt. Vernon Road location. The same staff currently serving clients at the Bever Avenue branch will continue to serve clients at the new branch.

“This new location is an investment in how we proudly continue to serve our clients and community on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids, providing greater access and convenience while maintaining the personal service they expect from CRBT,” said James Klein, CRBT president and chief executive officer.

The new 4,215‑square‑foot Mt. Vernon Road branch will honor the openness and accessibility of the bank’s main office while incorporating modern design, state‑of‑the‑art technology, and sustainable elements featured in recent CRBT projects.

Selected project partners include Rinderknecht Associates as general contractor and OPN Architects for design work.
