Faud Moves Fast. You Don't Have to.

Protect Yourself Against Fraud:

  • CRBT (or any bank) will never call, text, or email you asking for your personal information (PINS, passwords, usernames, one-time access codes, or token IDs).
  • Be skeptical - watch for typos, unusual, or urgent requests.
  • When in doubt, don't click or download attachments.
  • Be wary of urgent threats or claims.
  • Don't always trust caller ID - it can be spoofed.
  • Hang up and call the company using a verified or official number. If it’s your bank or credit card company, call the number on the back of your debit or credit card.
  • Never allow remote access or install unknown software.

Pause If You See These:

  • Calls, texts, or emails from your bank asking for your personal information (PINS, passwords, usernames, one-time access codes, or token IDs).
  • Urgent claims of account closures
  • Notifications that your account is frozen or being closed, urging immediate action to “protect your funds.”
  • Scammers providing a script to follow when speaking to others (e.g., bank staff or law enforcement).
  • Demands for secrecy, especially instructing victims not to tell family, their bank, or the police.
  • Claims of warrants for your arrest or other legal actions.
  • Accusations of illegal content found on your device.
