Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the addition of Okpara Rice to the Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust Board of Directors.
Okpara serves as Chief Executive Officer of Tanager Place. He is active in the field and in the community, currently serving as an advisor for the board of directors for the Association of Children's Residential Centers. He also serves as a board director for Marion Cares, NAMI of Linn County, the International Youth and Child Care Network, and was appointed by the Governor to the Children's System State board. In addition, Okpara is a member of the SET Task Force, Cedar Rapids School Board Diversity committee, Linn County Juvenile Detention and Diversion Advisory committee, Marion Civil Rights Commission, and the Cedar Rapids MedQuarter SSMID Commission.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Loyola University and a Master of Social Work from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Okpara also holds an Executive Management certification from Georgetown University and an Executive Scholar Certificate from the Northwestern Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management.
